After receiving many requests for more of my life experience stories. Tomorrow I will be sharing the stories that an elderly black man named James told me.He was the Cook at a local diner called “Pickles” in Jonesborough, TN
He was 79 yrs old when he sat and talked with me one night. He talked about racism, segregation, and stories his mother told him as a boy growing up in Jonesborough.
He talked to me for a most two hours. At the end I asked him… “James, how much would you pay for an evening like we just had? Talking to each other about life.”
He, reached across the table we were sitting at, took me by the hand and as we shook hands. With tears, he said…” This night is PRICELESS Chuck, no amount of money could by this!”
